THE PERSON BEHIND THE BEAGLE

I'm Pat. I live in Wisconsin, split between the Milwaukee area and a patch of woods an hour north of Crivitz where I camp, forage, and build things that my Honda Fit can technically carry. The blog is the record: a 16 by 16 platform built solo on piers, a geodesic dome bent out of electrical conduit, ramps pickled in spring, mushrooms dried in fall.

BeaglePrep exists because my own pantry tracking kept failing. The spreadsheet was accurate for about a month after every recount, then it drifted: jars got eaten, cans got bought, nothing got logged, and the "inventory" became a work of fiction with column headers. I wanted the boring parts automated (barcode scanning, expiration reminders) and one honest number telling me how many days my household is actually covered for. So I built it.

The app follows the same rules I'd want as a user: it works offline because emergencies don't come with Wi-Fi, it doesn't require an account because my stockpile is my business, and Pro is $4.99 once because I'm not interested in renting you your own pantry list. There's a real beagle-shaped reason for the name too, and a rat terrier named Abby who supervised most of the deck build.

Questions, bug reports, or a mushroom ID you want a second opinion on (I will say "get a field guide"): the contact address is in the privacy policy. Or just try the app and tell me what's missing.
